What is a second opinion?

Refers to seeking the opinion of another doctor regarding the diagnosis and treatment of a disease.

When you have received an explanation of the diagnosis and treatment policy from your doctor, but are not sure what to do,
Take it when you are wondering if there is any other treatment.

Our hospital has a second opinion outpatient clinic.We also actively promote second opinions to other medical institutions.
The staff of the Patient Family Counseling Support Center will be involved from the first consultation, so please do not hesitate to ask anything.

Target person

Please come to the hospital in person.
If you are unable to come to the hospital due to unavoidable circumstances, your family members can also consult with you if you have the written consent of the patient.
If the patient is a minor, a document (such as a health insurance card) that can confirm the relationship is required.

If you cannot accept

Counseling for physician complaints, medical malpractice and pending litigation
When targeting deceased patients
If the content of the consultation is outside our specialty
If you have not made a reservation

About fees

As a general rule, one hour is 1 yen (tax included).
Health insurance is not applied, so you will have to pay the full amount at actual cost.
Fees are to be paid at the accounting counter after the consultation is completed.
