Efforts of the General Medicine Department
Since its opening, the General Medicine Department has been working on the following pillars in cooperation with related departments.Through these activities, we also focus on the education of medical students and interns.
general outpatient
Basically, we are in charge of outpatients in the morning for the following patients (even if hospitalization management is required).
- Those visiting for the first time (mainly internal medicine)
- Initial support for patients with illnesses in clinical departments not available at our hospital (If a specialist is required, we will refer you to an in-hospital specialist or an appropriate medical institution to make arrangements for a smooth transition.)
- People with multiple health problems
- Those with psychological or social problems
- Those who do not have a letter of introduction to a specific medical department
- Those who do not know which department to visit, such as general malaise or fever of unknown origin
- Detailed examination after health checkup
- Those who need follow-up and continuous treatment after visiting the emergency department
emergency rescue
Together with the emergency department, we provide medical care for a large number of ambulances and emergency patients (24-hour ER system).
Ward work
We provide ward medical care centered on patients with common diseases requiring hospitalization, patients with multi-organ diseases requiring comprehensive medical care, and home care patients requiring hospitalization.
A word to patients
You may be unfamiliar with the word “general medicine,” but we aim to provide holistic medical care by covering the problems of subdivided medical care. We are doing our best with the motto of "meeting every need with sincerity".Recently, we often encounter problems that seem to arise from lack of explanation by doctors and lack of communication between doctors and patients. We especially try to "listen well" and "explain in an easy-to-understand manner".
To local teachers
We serve as a back-up hospital for patients receiving home care for whom local doctors are the attending physicians, and we also serve as a back-up hospital in the event of an emergency, as well as for close examination of symptoms of unknown cause, such as fevers of unknown origin. We will do our best to meet all your needs. For that reason, we believe that mutual communication is the most important. Please feel free to contact us.
In addition, we would like to ask you to serve as a home doctor for inpatients with stable conditions, and to follow up patients who are outpatients with chronic diseases etc. when they are stable.
