Tsukubamirai City Citizen Health Plaza Event Report

On Saturday, March 3rd, the ``Tsukubamirai City Citizen Health Plaza'' was held, with over 23 local residents participating. Citizen Health Plaza is a visiting lecture event held by our hospital to help local residents understand medical knowledge correctly.

This time, Dr. Mitsuaki Sakai (Respiratory Surgery), Director of the Ibaraki Prefecture Regional Cancer Center, gave a lecture on the theme of ``Introduction to cancer as the simplest form of education.'' In addition to explaining the characteristics of cancer and what can be done to prevent cancer, we will also explain what you can keep in mind in your daily life, as well as information on cancer screening for early detection and early treatment. He emphasized the importance of having regular check-ups.

At the Q&A corner after the lecture, there were so many questions that it continued for 30 minutes.In addition, participants' questionnaires included ``Now that I know the importance of cancer screening, I would like to actively undergo cancer screening in the future'' and ``I would like to receive cancer screening from someone close to me.'' We received comments such as ``I want to be there for you in case something happens'', making the lecture a highly satisfying one.
