Dispatch of Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) to respond to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake
From January 1th (Saturday) to January 6th (Monday), our hospital's DMAT (Disaster Medical Support Team) will be staffed by one doctor, three nurses, and two coordinators from our hospital to provide disaster relief for the Noto Earthquake. ) was dispatched to Ishikawa Prefecture as the third unit.
On the ground, from January 1th, we conducted a situation survey and transported relief supplies to three nursing care facilities serving as evacuation centers in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and on January 7th, we conducted a survey of the conditions at nursing care facilities with high levels of care that were affected by the disaster. We carried out a mission to provide evaluation and support, as well as medically transporting people who were unwell to Suzu General Hospital.
Furthermore, as the director of the Ibaraki Prefecture DMAT Coordination Headquarters established at the Ibaraki Prefectural Office, Director Shigeru Atake of the Critical Care Center provided logistical support to the 15 Ibaraki Prefecture DMAT teams operating in Ishikawa Prefecture.
I would like to express my heartfelt sympathies to those affected by the disaster, and I pray that everyone who is working hard to rebuild will continue to be safe and do their best.

A medical team consisting of doctors, nurses, and coordinators that collaborates with related organizations during the acute phase of a large-scale disaster to provide on-site medical treatment and wide-area medical transport using aircraft.
Medical transportation from hospitals during disasters is also an important role, and our hospital DMAT has an ambulance-type DMAT vehicle with the ability to transport patients.
