Request for reduction of overwork of doctors and medical staff

The overwork of medical workers, especially doctors, has become a social problem, and improvements in the working environment are required.
Up until now, doctors' medical practice has been based on the professional ethics of putting lives in their hands, so they have been working day and night to accept emergency patients and respond to sudden changes in hospitalized patients as much as possible.
On the other hand, doctors working in hospitals are also workers, and maintaining their health is essential to providing safe and secure medical care.At our hospital, many doctors work overtime and are overworked, making it difficult to take days off.Doctors need rest too.
For this reason, the hospital as a whole would like to take more measures than ever to reduce the workload on medical workers, especially doctors.
We ask for the understanding and cooperation of patients and their families in this situation, and we ask for your cooperation in reducing the overwork of medical professionals.

We ask for your cooperation so that explanations of medical conditions, surgeries, examinations, etc. can be completed within working hours (9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays) in principle.

However, this does not apply in the case of an emergency.

On Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and weekday nights, on-call doctors and on-call doctors from each clinical department will respond in place of your primary doctor.

Please rest assured that we will provide appropriate medical care while communicating with your attending physician (physician in charge) as necessary.

Appropriate use of referral outpatient services and emergency outpatient services

Please bring your referral letter with you to our outpatient clinic. In addition, patients whose condition has stabilized are referred to local clinics and hospitals. We ask for your cooperation in dividing the roles between local medical institutions and hospitals.

Our hospital promotes team medical care. Some of the doctor's duties are performed by other medical professionals such as nurses and pharmacists.

At our hospital, medical professionals now work as a medical team, dividing up and complementing each other based on their respective expertise, tasks that were previously performed by doctors.

In order for our hospital to provide safe and secure medical care to people in the community and at the same time to maintain a healthy working environment for medical professionals and doctors, we ask for the understanding and support of patients and their families. Thank you very much.
