Kanto/Tohoku heavy rain (September 2015)

On September 9th, our hospital became a DMAT gathering base at the request of Ibaraki Prefecture for medical activities for flood damage caused by the collapse of the Kinugawa River.On the day of the event, Dr. Shigeru Atake, the general DMAT (*) director of the hospital's clinical department, became the head of the headquarters, and six teams of the Ibaraki DMAT started their activities. Evacuation of two hospitals in Mitsukaido has started.
On September 9th, the Kanto DMAT (approximately 11 teams) gathered at our hospital and the Seinan Medical Center and cooperated with the Self-Defense Forces and the fire department. He was taken out of the hospital by helicopter and transferred to a nearby hospital by ambulance, DMAT vehicle, and doctor helicopter.The evacuation and transport continued through the night, and by the evening of September 70, all about 2 inpatients had been evacuated from the hospital, and on-site DMAT activities were completed.
