CT examination
1.What is a CT scan?
X-rays are irradiated to the body, the information collected in 360° directions is analyzed and processed by a computer, and the internal structures of the body are obtained as cross-sectional images.
2. Requests to patients
- Please come to the hospital in clothes that are easy to put on and take off, with as little metal as possible.
- Since the inspection will be given priority to those in poor condition, it may be later than the scheduled time.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please understand.

5.Inspection details
CT scans are often used in emergency situations because they allow us to understand the structure of the body in detail in a relatively short period of time.It also contributes greatly to the diagnosis of various lesions.
I will introduce some of the shooting content of our hospital.
Head CT
This test is often performed when cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage is suspected.
Chest CT
This test is performed when diseases such as pneumonia or lung cancer are suspected.
In addition, it is a very useful test for evaluating and searching for lesions when chest disease is suspected.
Abdominal CT
This is a test that allows easy detection and evaluation of lesions when an abdominal disease is suspected.
aortic CT
This test is performed for diseases such as aortic aneurysm and aortic dissection.
It is possible to obtain a wide range of blood vessel information.
Cardiac CT
This test is performed to determine the blood circulation status of the blood vessels (coronary arteries) that supply the heart with nutrients.
Head 3D-CTA
It is a test that can visualize blood vessels in the brain, such as cerebral aneurysms and cerebrovascular malformations, in a short time.
Orthopedic CT
This examination is performed to obtain detailed information on the state of fractures that are difficult to grasp with X-rays and the bones necessary for surgery.
6. Contrast-enhanced examination
Contrast imaging is a test that injects a drug called a non-ionic contrast agent into a vein to obtain blood vessel information in the body, lesions, and contrast of each tissue, making it easier to make an image diagnosis.
Precautions for Contrast Imaging
- Refrain from eating 4 hours before an imaging study.
(Example: morning examination ⇒ skip breakfast, afternoon examination ⇒ skip lunch) - Please drink enough water. However, avoid dairy products (milk, yogurt, etc.).
- If you are currently breastfeeding, please refrain from breastfeeding for 48 hours after the contrast scan.
- Patients taking regular medications should follow their doctor's instructions.
- Patients undergoing a cardiac CT examination should refrain from consuming caffeine (coffee, green tea, etc.) on the day of the examination.
If you have any questions, please ask the staff.
