Report from the 10th Sukusuku Childrearing Festival!

Our hospital participated in the 10th Sukusuku Childrearing Festival held at IIAS Tsukuba for two days on Saturday, November 29th and Sunday, November 30th, 2025!
Our hospital's booth featured a panel display to help visitors deepen their understanding of pediatric emergency medicine, as well as an opportunity for children to become "little doctors" and actually listen to the sound of a patient's heart with a stethoscope.
Staff members carefully explained how to use the stethoscope, and the children listened intently to the "thump, thump" of their hearts as they placed the stethoscope on their own chests and those of their parents. The children were surprised to hear the heartbeat for the first time, but seemed to enjoy participating, and it was a great time to foster an interest in medicine.
Some people also stopped by the "Pediatric Medicine" panel, and when we distributed the same content as handouts, some people said things like, "I'll read it at my leisure at home."
We hope that through this experience, children will feel closer to medical care and that it will also be an opportunity for parents to deepen their understanding of pediatric medicine.
We will continue to work closely with the local community and connect medical care with daily life.
Among the materials distributed on the day, we distributed a paper craft of our hospital's doctor car*, so
Please give it a try!

Event Outline
"Mamamori Childcare Network"We will be participating in the 10th Sukusuku Childrearing Festival, which is being organized by the organization!
At our clinic's booth, children can become "little doctors" and experience listening to the heartbeat. Just by putting on a white coat and using a stethoscope, this popular experience makes them feel a little more grown up.
We also hope that this will be an opportunity for parents to learn about the pediatric emergency medical system. There are many situations where parents are unsure whether they should take their child to the hospital if they suddenly develop a fever or get injured. In such cases, it is very important for parents to know about the local pediatric emergency system.
As a member of the community that supports pediatric care, our hospital is committed to creating an environment where parents can raise their children with peace of mind.
