Measles outbreak in our outpatient clinic [First report]

We would like to inform you that patients who visited our hospital on Tuesday, May 7th, Wednesday, May 2025th, and Thursday, May 5th, 6, were diagnosed with measles.

What is measles?

[Cause] It is caused by infection with the measles virus.
[Incubation period (time from contact to onset of symptoms)] Approximately 10 to 12 days (maximum 21 days).
Symptoms that suggest measles] Contact with a measles patientAbout 10 days later, cold-like symptoms such as a fever of about 38°C, cough, and runny nose lasted for 2 to 4 days.,After that, a rash appeared along with a high fever of nearly 39°C.You must to do something before you go on.
[Diagnosis] For patients with measles symptoms, doctors may decide to test blood, throat swabs, urine, etc. There are no tests that can determine whether or not a patient is infected when they are asymptomatic.
[Treatment] There is no specific treatment for measles. Treatment will depend on the symptoms, such as the use of antipyretics.
[Routes of infection] Reports of infection include airborne, droplet, and contact.
